Repeal Day Fundraiser at Acacia
Join us at Acacia to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Repeal Day, when Prohibition officially ended Dec.5th, 1933. Acacia is featuring drinks using rum from the first craft rum distillery in Pittsburgh: Maggie's Farm Rum! There will be a specialty rum punch, a rum old fashioned, and a couple of crafted drinks tailored to Maggie's Farm Rum. The public is invited to celebrate the season at Brashear’s annual Holiday Open House on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. at Brashear Center, 2005 Sarah Street. Light refreshments will be served and entertainment will be provided. Donations of toys and food items are welcome and encouraged. Slopes Social Hour at Acacia
Gather round for another Slopes social hour, this time held at Acacia bar. Acacia is one of the best places in the 'Burgh to grab a cocktail, and it just so happens to be in our neighborhood. There is also an extensive beer selection and food can be ordered next door at Stagioni's. Stop by and meet some new neighbors or reconnect with old friends on Tuesday, June 3 starting at 5:30 PM.

Dirty Dozen Viewing
Join the South Side Slopes Neighborhood Association to cheer on the Dirty Dozen riders bicycling up Eleanor Street on Saturday November 29. We will be cheering at the Eleanor Street Park from 3:30PM to 5:30PM with hot coffee. Bring a mug! If you're not familiar the Dirty Dozen is a bicycle race up Pittsburgh's 13 toughest hills.
