You can contribute canned and non-perishable food items (please ensure they are not expired)\, but their most urgent needs include personal care products such as soap\, body wash\, shampoo\, conditioner\, toothpaste\, toothbrushes\, toilet paper\, tissues\, diapers (for infants and adults)\, feminine hygiene products\, shaving cream\, razors and household cleaning supplies like laundry detergent\, fabric softener and dryer sheets.\n\n\nYou may bring pantry items or an unwrapped toy to the party\, or you can drop them off at: The Brashear Association\, 320 Brownsville Road\, Pittsburgh\, PA 15210.

It is across the street from Zenith where we’ve celebrated in years past. And we’re happy to report that Zenith will still provide the yummy food for our festivities! \n\n\n\n\nAll the details \nJoin us on Thursday December 12 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm! Food will be provided by the SSSNA\, with both meat and vegetarian options available. There is a cash bar. Very limited parking available on-site but there is street parking available near the venue. Please register by Dec. 6 to ensure we have enough food. If you can’t make it\, let us know\, so we can welcome more neighbors. \nHave extra to give this holiday season? We will be collecting toys for Brashear’s annual toy drive. This family-friendly event combines photography\, historic narrative and a sense of neighborhood dependent upon steps.  Through this annual event\, we keep the city focused on maintenance of city steps throughout the neighborhood. \nBuy Tickets! \nA link to download the digital maps and route narratives will be sent on October 4 (by 10pm).  In-person check-in\, where you can pick up a hard-copy map\, will begin at 10am on Oct 5 at S 28th & Sidney Streets (in the SouthSide Works). SUMMARY:PWSA South Side Park Stormwater Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Want to know what’s happening next in the South Side Park master plan? Join PWSA’s project team on Tuesday January 23\, 2024 for a virtual meeting to discuss design plans and upcoming construction impacts of the South Side Stormwater Project\, which will begin in Spring 2024. \nThe South Side Park Stormwater Project aims to reduce combined sewer overflows caused by rain flows through the park\, that make their way to ALCOSAN sewers and the Monongahela River. These overflows impact local water quality and overtax the sewer systems. \nThe goals of the project are as follows:\n• Reduce combined sewer overflows into the river\n• Reduce basement backups\n• Slow down the flow of stormwater from higher elevation areas\n• Work with local residents to understand the full scope of basement backups and neighborhood flooding \nThis project will involve partnerships with the City Department of Public Works and their implementation of the Southside Park Master Plan. \nMore Details: https://www.pgh2o.com/news-events/events-meetings/2024-01-23-south-side-park-stormwater-project-meeting

Street parking is available. \nREGISTER NOW! \nHave extra this holiday season? We will be collecting toys for Brashear’s annual toy drive.
